YCD Workshops happening tonight!

It's all happening at the Scout Hall tonight for our young people! We have YCD up from Chch and a team of local young people who are planning a party with free food, DJs, young rap artists, competitions (and prizes), and dance-offs—it's going to be a blast! Whanau are welcome to come and join in too - if you are dropping your under 16 year old off and have not ever given Te Hā o Mātauranga your emergency contact, please touch base and give us those details before heading away - it will give you a chance to check out the new look Scout Hall.

Some of our reasons for partying are -

1. Next week is youth week 2025. The theme for the week is Whai Wāhitanga - all about young people taking their place in the world, making decisions and leading the way. Come and see one of our local lads making his debut as a rapper.

2. We've spent some time setting up the Scout Hall to be more of a youth space - with new a foosball table, table tennis and couches.

3. Its pink shirt day - so a great time to think about how we interact with each other and the YCD team are great role models for showing kindness and care.
